Detailed Report on short term training Programme

A 5 days short term training programme on “Research Methodology” was organised by N. B. Thakur Law College, Nashik on April 8th– April 13th, 2023.

The 5 day programme began with an inaugural ceremony on April 8th at the auspicious hands and blessing of chief guest Hon’ble Dr. Dilip Ukey Sir (Vice Chancellor Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai) guest of honour Dr. Rajendra Sangle Sir (Principal K. V. N Naik College, Dindori) and President Dr. V. N Suryawanshi Sir (Branch Secretary, Gokhale Education Society, Nashik) Hon’ble Dr. M.S Gosavi (Secretary and Director General Gokhale Education Society, Nashik) has always been a guiding light and inspiration in successful execution of any programme in the college.

On the same day, at 8:00 am the 2nd session was conducted by Mrs. Hema Burung ma’am (Asst. Professor N.B. Thakur Law College, Nashik) on the topic “how to identify a research problem” wherein clear and easy explanation of the topic was made. She also shared her own practical experience of the past 10 years in the field of research with the Do’s and Don’ts of Research.

Day 2– Dated April 10th ,2023 began with a session by Dr. Kadri Sir (Principal I/C, N.B. Thakur Law College, Nashik) on the topic “components of Thesis/ Dissertation wherein he explained in detail 3 major components – introduction, main body and Conclusion of Thesis or Dissertation. 2nd session of the day was conducted by Dr. Nitin Lasta Sir (Maharaja Agrasen University, Himanchal Pradesh) through online mode on the topic “interpretation of Report in Research” wherein he explained in depth the techniques, significance, precautions, layouts and types of report writing.

Day 3– Dated April 11th,2023 began with the 1st session by Dr. Jyostna Dighe ma’am (Asst. Professor, N.B.T Law College, Nashik) on the topic “Interdisciplinary Research” where she explained in detail the branches of interdisciplinary research, its types, skills required and detail evaluation of socio- legal research. The 2nd session was a continuation of the remaining uncovered topic of components of thesis by Dr. kadri sir. The 3rd session for the day began at 10:30 am on the topic “Review of Literature” by Dr. Medha Saykhedkar ma’am (Associate Professor, N. B. Thakur Law College, Nashik). The best part of the presentation was the demonstrative images and cartoons which made the session more interesting to hear and understand.

Day 4 – Dated April 12th,2023 began with the 1st session by Dr. Kadri Sir (Principal I/C, N.B. Thakur Law College, Nashik) on the topic “How to avoid Plagiarism”. Sir explained the concept of plagiarism and copyright, their distinction with relevant case laws and examples in detail. The 2nd session for the day started at 10:30 am on the topic “Writing of Research Design”. Dr. Sharad Binnor Sir (HOD of English, KTHM College, Nashik) sir explained in detail about the key elements, types of design for research, process of research design, its characteristics and benefits.

Day 5– dated April 13th,2023 began with the 1st session at 8:00 am on the topic “Book and Article Review” by Dr. Sanjay Mandaokar sir (Vice-Principal, N. B. Thakur Law College, Nashik) sir had aptly said “areas of review are many and they are in every aspect of life. He had explained the “View and Review” of the book and article in detail. The 2nd session began at 9:30 am on the topic “Offline and Online Sources” available for research by Nandu More Sir (Librarian, N. B. Thakur Law College, Nashik). Sir explained in detail about the available online and offline sources with relevant examples. 3rd session for the day began at 10:30 am on the topic “Interview and Questionnaire” by Dr. Bhavana Kadu ma’am (Associate Dean at Sandip University, Nashik). Ma’am particularly focused on 4 important topics i.e. Sources of Data, Methods of Data Collection, Tools of Data Collection and Case Study.

The 5-day programme ended with a valedictory function by Chief Guest Dr. Bhavana Kadu ma’am (Associate Dean at Sandip University, Nashik) Guest of Honour Dr. Santosh Agnihotri Sir (Asst. Branch Secretary, Gokhale Education Society, Nashik), Dr. Kadri sir (Principal I/C, N. B. Thakur Law College, Nashik) and Vice- Principal Dr. Sanjay Mandaokar Sir and Co-Ordinator Dr. Kirti Shinde ma’am.
